The two modes use different firmware. Screen size changes the layout; it does not add an energy-data source.

4-INCH · 480 × 480 Compact and easy to place.

A square 480×480 layout for live readings and touch navigation. Choose the firmware that matches the Guition 4-inch board.

5-INCH · 800 × 480 More room for your energy.

An 800×480 landscape layout with more space for readings and, in the Home Assistant edition, energy charts. It uses its own Guition JC8048W550 firmware.

A 5-inch panel needs 5-inch firmware. Renaming the 4-inch YAML does not convert it. Availability also depends on the selected connection mode.

The standalone connection needs no cloud service. The HA edition uses local connections for monitoring; an optional forecast provider may use an online service.
