Prepare the GX MQTT feed for Home Assistant
The Home Assistant edition uses the MQTT connection you configure for your GX. Set it up once, confirm the messages, then let Clevr discover your devices.
On this page
One bridge, two topic directions.
N/ notification topics carry the GX readings to the broker and its consumers. R/ request topics carry read and republish requests back to the GX. A bridge prefix, if configured, must match your integration settings.
GX notifications: N/<portal-id>/…→Local broker → HA + display
Broker requests: R/<portal-id>/…→GX
Use the existing bridge instructions.
Use the exact configuration in the existing clevr.house article. Adapt the documented placeholders locally; preserve your broker’s existing configuration and credentials.
Read the MQTT N/R bridge article ↗Exactly one full-republish sender.
Check whether a sender already exists before adding one. The current integration scan allows about 130 seconds for two complete publications.
Check the feed before discovery.
- Confirm the broker receives
N/<portal-id>/…notifications using the MQTT tools in your existing setup. - Confirm
N/<portal-id>/full_publish_completedappears after full publication. - Check that exactly one sender requests a full republish about every 30 seconds.
- Keep equipment online and run the Clevr discovery flow. You do not need to browse every topic manually.
